The goal of this workshop is to receive practical tips from an experienced EC evaluator on how to write a competitive MSCA-PF proposal.
The MSCA-PF template consists of 3 different sections: 1. Excellence, 2. Impact and 3. Implementation. Each section includes different subsections dealing with different aspects. Dr. Halbert will go through each section and subsection and will advise us what to write in each of them.
The workshop will end with an interactive discussion on what to do next, as well as useful support and resources.

Catherine Halbert (BSc, MSc, PhD) has over 30 years’ experience in research management in academic and industry settings. For the past 20 years, she has worked as an Expert Evaluator, Panel Member, Reviewer, and Quality Controller for the European Commission, working across a broad range of thematic areas and funding programmes (FP5, FP6, FP7, H2020). Catherine was a member of the EC Advisory Group for H2020 Societal Challenge 2, and an EIP-AGRI Working Group member.
She has also served on national research evaluation panels in Ireland. Previously Catherine worked as a research scientist in plant science (Trinity College Dublin), and food science and technology (University College Cork). Catherine is a part time Lecturer at University College Cork and an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Science and Computing at Waterford Institute of Technology. She was a lead partner in two EU-funded projects; STARTEC and TRADEIT.
