Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short, intensive programmes that use innovative ways of learning, teaching and training for students and staff including the use of online cooperation.

Health and disease, defined as well-being or discomfort in population, is the result of multiple interactions combining biological, social, economic and cultural processes.  In 2015 United Nations Resolution adopt the 2030 Agenda that sets out a universal plan of action to address the economic, environmental, social and political challenges to ensure that all people can fulfil their potential to live in health, dignity and equity. The 2030 Agenda includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 169 targets and 232 indicators. It is from the SDGs, their scope and interrelationship that policy priorities are shaped by targeting the social, economic and political determinants that connect these indicators to population health. A key part of this is to strengthen community action to encourage individuals and groups to engage in participatory processes, firstly, to identify the needs and resources and secondly, to respond to their health needs.  It is under this premise that we are organizing this BIP activity open to nurse colleagues from other countries, which is committed to be a hybrid and dynamic course that will combine lectures with seminars, workshops and discussion.

The BIP is going to start on the 6th of  November with an online synchronous preparatory meeting.  Then, from 11 to 15 November 2024 we will share space and discussions in the Sala de Juntes of the Catalunya campus, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Av. Catalunya, 35, Tarragona).

The registration will open on July 18 till September 16. Admission to the BIP course will be on a first come, first served basis.  The maximum number of attenders is 30 participants and is limited to maximum three participants per university.
